The Island of Gozo can be reached by Ferry and the service is operated by Gozo Channel Ferries. The service is in operation 24 hrs a day and the schedule is approximately every hour during the day and evening and special timings during the night. Or visit their web site www.gozochannel.com There are three large passenger and car ferries operating between the two Islands and the service is very good one and punctual. Once in Gozo the Bus service to from Mgarr Harbor to Victoria is frequent and there is also a very good taxi service. Information and timings for the bus service and the cost for the Taxis are available in the ferry Terminals in the arrival and departure hall both in Malta and Gozo. More Information for the Bus service please contact on Gozo 00356 21 559346 / 00356 21 562040 EXT 218 between 05.00 to 20.00 Hop On Hop Off bus is available from Mgarr Harbour (During the Day) and will stop in Victoria allowing time to the guests to visit the Gozo 360 show. The bus stops you within 5 minutes on foot from the 360 and the centre of Victoria. Car parking facilities are ample in Victoria and all in walking distance to the Gozo 360 show. The best choice is to drive in the direction of the Bus Terminus where directly behind the Terminus one will find a large parking area with no limitation on the time. One other small car park is near the Cittadella which is the old town in the heart of Victoria and only two minutes walk from the Gozo 360 show. The car parks are tarmac and close to the main road and also the centre of Victoria. The Gozo 360 is situated on the main square of Victoria at the bottom of the hill leading to the old town. The large main door is situated at the bottom of the hill but guests also have access from the bar which has its main door right on the square. From the main door one has to step down two low wide steps making it easily accessible. The booking office is next to the main door and guests are met at the door by the staff who then directs them to where they should go. Near the reception one also finds the lounge / waiting room but you would have to go down six steps to get to it. Down in the lounge, this doubles up as an Internet Café and therefore one also has the service of the internet with printing facilities. In the building one finds two screens showing the Gozo 360 Audio Visual with shows starting at 15 minute intervals. Access to the Gozo 360 shows is found up the wide staircase with screen one on the first floor and screen two on the second floor. A lift is also available and connects all floors starting from ground floor up to the second floor. Disabled clients using a wheel chair also have special access through the Bar that leads straight to the lift which has special wide doors for wheelchair access. The floors are local marble except for the theatres which are carpeted. All soft furnishings are fire retardant including the seats and special fire doors protect the halls. The hallway and staircase are designed to fit in with the old building and are strong and robust with a beautiful Maltese design. The 30 minute show gives the viewer an insight to the history and culture of the Island of Gozo and gives all guests an understanding to the Gozitan way of life. It can be seen on the full cinema screen making this show into a fantastic experience which should not be missed. The Show gives our guests a complete overview of the Island of Gozo and is a must for every visitor to Gozo. The commentary comes in fifteen different languages which are Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Maltese, Polish, Russian, and Swedish. All headphones are handed out by the staff and each guest is shown to their seat. The headphone pads are changed daily and only used once and then changed again. The show, unless for large groups, does not need to be pre-booked and therefore guests can view the show at the any time between 10.00 and 15.00hrs. The timings are as follows: Mon to Sat from 10.00 to 15.00 Public Holidays from 10.00 to 13.00 We are closed on Sundays but will open for pre-booked groups. Shows are every 30 minutes. Prices are €7.00 for Adults and €3.00 for Children Senior Citizens have a special price of €5.50. Special offer for small groups at €5.00 per person. The building also houses both ladies and gents toilets but are separate and on the ground floor we also have a toilet for the disabled with the access for wheelchairs. All toilets are well signed. The Bar named ‘Café Antonine’ is found on the ground floor and also has outdoor seating with tables on the square. Snacks, are served, but has a limited menu making it more of a Café type Bar. Access is from the main square and also from the hallway leading off the main area of the Gozo 360. The Theatres of this complex are also used as conference halls making them unique because of their stepped theatre type seats. |
